Diplomat Insurance Plans

Diplomat Insurance Plans come with three options- Diplomat America, Diplomat International, and Diplomat Long Term. Diplomat America Insurance is designed for non-US residents traveling to the US, ideal for international students, business and leisure travelers, study abroad, foreign tourists and visitors to the US, holiday travelers, and church or missionary travelers.

Diplomat long-term offers coverage for non-US residents while visiting the US or for those traveling internationally outside their home country. Coverage is available for 2 adults, any unmarried dependent children ages 14 days to under 18 years, or children traveling alone.

Diplomat International plan is designed for US citizens traveling outside the US or non-US citizens traveling outside their home country, with no intention to come to America. The plans provide accident and medical coverage, emergency evacuation, AD&D, travel assistance, and more.

COVID-19 insurance is included in Diplomat America and Diplomat Long Term but not in Diplomat International Plan.

Global Accident Protection Plan (GAPP)

Global Underwriters’ Global Accident Protection Plan (GAPP) provides Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) benefits and optional Emergency Medical Evacuation/Repatriation benefits for anyone traveling outside their home country. This plan does not include medical accident and sickness coverage and COVID-19 is also excluded from the GAPP plan.

The plan is ideal for business or leisure travelers, individuals traveling outside their home countries, employees traveling internationally for their companies, individuals who are taking part in extreme sports or hazardous activities, and individuals traveling to war risk areas. Coverage is available for 2 adults, any unmarried dependent children ages 14 days until they are 18-year-old, or children traveling alone

Global Underwriters Claim

Download and complete a claim form with your most current mailing address. If you have paid for yourself, attach and send in all original receipts of proof of payment, the medical invoice and medical information that was provided to you from the provider. Be sure to keep copies of all your receipts for your records. The second page of the Accident/Sickness claim form also outlines how to file a claim in detail.

Global Underwriters Cancellation Policy

The plans under Global Underwriters’ have different cancellation policies. Less a $25 processing fee, a refund can be considered only when a written request is received by Global Underwriters Agency prior to the effective date of individual coverage. After the effective date of individual coverage, premium is considered fully earned and non-refundable. Partial refunds are not available. It is wise to go through the policy wording before buying one.
