GeoBlue Travel Plans
GeoBlue Single Trip Voyager Plans have two options: Choice and Essential, and both the plans are ideal for international leisure, missionary, or business travel. The plans have varying medical limits and deductibles and offer coverage for pre-existing conditions for medical services and medical evacuation, and COVID-19 treatment and testing. They are eligible for all US citizens and permanent residents.
The medical benefits include surgery, lab, and diagnostic tests, doctor visits, X-rays, ambulance services, medical emergencies, dental care, physical therapy, accidental death and dismemberment, emergency medical transportation, repatriation of remains, and lost baggage and personal effects, emergency family arrangements, and more.
The Essential Plan covers outpatient services outside the US 50% up to $5,000, while the Choice Plan covers 100% up to $5,000. To avail of the latter plan, the policyholders need a primary health plan. Geo Blue also has Multi-Trip Trekker Choice and Trekker Essential for the residents of the US traveling outside the country. HTH single trip voyager plans- HTH Travelgap Voyager and HTH Travelgap Excursion are available in NY, WA, and MD for US citizens and residents, offering coverage outside the US.
GeoBlue Trip Cancellation Plans
HTH Worldwide has Trip Protector- Economy, Classic, and Preferred available in all the states. The plans offer travel and medical benefits, including trip cancellation, trip interruption, baggage, and personal effects, baggage delay, trip delay, and missed connection. Trip Protector Economy does not cover pre-existing conditions. But pre-existing condition exclusion waiver may be available if purchased within 14 days of initial trip deposit for Trip Protector Classic and 21 days of initial deposit for Trip Protector Preferred.
GeoBlue Student Plans
GeoBlue Navigator Plan is a flexible policy meant for F1 and J1 visa holders. The plan is comprehensive and offers affordable worldwide coverage designed for students, teachers, OPT participants, and faculties. It also covers dependents and families.
The plan has three tiers of coinsurance- 100% outside the US, 80% in-network in the US, and 60% out of network inside the US. It has an unlimited lifetime maximum and a $250,000 maximum benefit for emergency medical evacuation. Copay is waived when visiting a provider outside the US. Insured individuals can see any health-care provider outside the US and access the Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO network in the US.
The benefits cover contraceptive services and supplies, comprehensive mental health services, pre-existing conditions with proof of previous coverage, injuries, and illnesses related to terrorism, prescription, COVID-19 testing, and treatment. Optional coverage includes maternity, dental, and vision.
Long-term Plans
- GeoBlue long-term plans include Xplorer Premium which offers coverage inside the US and worldwide and Xplorer Essential which offers worldwide and no US coverage. For the latter, members get the option to add US cover for short trips home. Both the plans offer coverage to spouse, children, and dependents, which are further elaborated in the plan’s brochure.
- GeoBlue Missionary is yet another long-term plan designed for NGOs and those involved in humanitarian work. The plan offers options to see any healthcare provider outside of the US and access to the Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO network in the US. It covers dependents and families only if the member is a part of an NGO or a charitable organization.
- GeoBlue Crew plan is meant for maritime crew members, offering annual coverage to all US citizens and permanent residents living abroad. It offers immediate coverage of pre-existing conditions with proof of previous coverage. Read the brochure before proceeding.
GeoBlue Claim
Insured individuals can settle their claims with GeoBlue directly. Fill in the claim form and submit it online to the company along with documents. You can also track the status of your existing claim.
Claim forms are available for download on the Member Hub. Once you are logged in, click ‘Claims’ in the top right corner and then ‘How do you file a claim with GeoBlue’. From there you will be able to file an eClaim or download a medical claim form.
Members have the option to file eClaims through the Member Hub or mobile app. If you prefer to submit a paper claim, send a legible, itemized bill from the provider, along with a completed medical claim form to GeoBlue.

GeoBlue cancellation policy
GeoBlue members may cancel plans up until the day of departure. Requests for policy cancellation must be received in writing at enrollment@geo-blue.com.
