It has no optional coverage for athletic sports and hazardous activities.

The plan participates in First Health PPO Network, which is a widely recognized network in the US. 

No. The plan does not cover pre-existing condition, but  1 acute episode per pre-existing condition can be covered up to policy medical max for non-cardiac ($25,000 limit for cardiac) conditions for 69 years & under; covered up to $35,000 for non-cardiac ($15,000 limit for cardiac) conditions for 70 years & above. 

No. This plan is not available to US Citizens, US Residents, or green cardholders in the US. 

Yes. The plan has trip interruption and baggage loss benefits included. 

Visitors Protect- FAQs

The Visitors Protect plan is designed specifically for individuals and families traveling from their home country to the US, Canada, and Mexico. 

Yes. The plan offers limited temporary coverage for pre-existing conditions with deductible $1,500 per injury/illness. 

Yes. The plan is underwritten by Sirius Point Insurance Corporation and is rated A- Excellent by AM Best. 

No. The plan can be bought for a minimum of 90 days (about 3 months) to 12 months and is not extendable. You will have to buy the plan for the entire number of days you need coverage as it cannot be renewed.  

Members receive a full refund before the Effective Date of Coverage. 

After the effective date of the policy, the insured person may request cancellation by sending or written request to the company by e-mail mail or fax however the following conditions apply for premium refund:  

1. If any claims have been filed with the company the premium is fully owned and is non- refundable 

2. if no claims have been filed with the company  

a) a cancellation fee of fifty ($50 USD) will be charged. 

b) only premium covering time periods after the after cancellation are refundable.
