The plan is designed for tourists traveling outside their home country or country of residence to the US and worldwide. This plan is not designed for US residents, citizens, and green card holders.

Atlas America plan is designed for non-US residents coming to the US temporarily. It is meant for business professionals, nannies, international students, foreign tourists, exchange scholars on J visas, and more. The plan provides visitors with medical accidents and illnesses coverage for in-patient as well as out-patient visits, coverage for emergency medical treatment, political evacuation, repatriation of remains, trip interruption, baggage, accidental death, dismemberment, etc. 

Plan highlights: 

  • The plan offers insurance for hospitalization, emergency room, office visits, and prescription drugs for accidents and illnesses up to $2,000,000 
  • It covers emergency medical and political evacuation, repatriation of remains, trip interruption, baggage, personal liability, and AD&D. 
  • COVID-19 is covered and treated as any other sickness 
  • It covers the acute onset of a non-chronic Pre-Existing Medical Condition 
  • In the network, Co-insurance waived 
  • The plan offers coverage for 5 days to 364 days (about 12 months) 
  • $15 co-pay for Urgent Care 
  • It has optional AD&D, personal liability, and crisis response coverage upgrades.
