  • Deductible choices are between $0 to $2,500. 
  • Coinsurance 100% up to the maximum limit in-network and 80% up to $5,000 and then 100%. 
  • Covers acute onset of a non-chronic pre-existing condition. 
  • Covers travel intelligence, telehealth, and evacuation plus. 
  • COVID-19 is covered as any other illness. 
  • The plan can be extended to 24 continuous months.

Patriot America Platinum offers short-term medical coverage to non-US citizens traveling  to the US or outside their country of residence. It covers medical expenses, hospitalization, prescription drugs, emergency dental, medical evacuation, emergency reunion, return of remains, lost baggage, identity theft, trip interruption, etc. It also offers optional coverage to adventure sports and customized coverage for Enhanced AD&D Rider, Evacuation Plus Rider, and Chaperone/Faculty Leader Replacement Rider.

  • The maximum coverage limit is up to $8 million. 
  • The choice of deductibles is between $0 to $25,000. 
  • The plan can be extended to 36 months (about 3 years).

Patriot America Plus is an A- rated comprehensive visitor health insurance plan that provides medical coverage and other travel and emergency services for visitors coming to the US. 

No, However the Patriot America Plus provides coverage for acute onset of non-chronic pre-existing conditions. For travelers aged 69 years and under, the maximum limit is $1,000,000. The plan includes $25,000, maximum limit for emergency medical evacuation for acute onset. 

Yes, the plan offers Trip cancellation and interruption coverage only to US residents. This upgrade is not available for non-US travelers. 

Yes, policyholders have the option to extend their coverage under Patriot America Plus. It can be extended to 24 continuous months. If the policy expires before it can be extended, a new application will have to be completed.

Patriot Platinum Plan covers acute onset of non-chronic pre-existing conditions. It covers, with varying limits by age, up to $1,000,000 for people up to 69 years of age. For age 70 and over, the plan does not provide coverage for acute onset of a pre-existing condition. 

Adventure Sports coverage does not come with the standard plan,  but with additional premium you can buy the optional Adventure Sports Rider Coverage. It is available for those up to the age of 64. The maximum coverage for Adventure sports rider for different age groups are: 

  • Age 0-49-$50,000 
  • Age 50-60- $30,000 
  • Age 60-64- $15,000 

The Patriot Platinum insurance plan follows  the United Healthcare PPO network. You can go to any doctor or hospital of your choice, but it is recommended to go to a doctor or medical facility within the provider’s network for better benefits, easier claims process and negotiated rates. 

Patriot Platinum can be extended up to a maximum of 1095 continuous days (about 3 years).  Once the policy expires you no longer have the option for extension. In such cases, you may apply for a new policy.
