Who can buy the Safe Travels Elite plan? 

The Safe Travels Elite plan is available to non-US citizens under the age of 89 years. This policy is not available to US citizens. and green card holders living in the US. 

Does the plan cover the Acute onset of the Pre-existing conditions? 

The plan covers the acute onset of the pre-existing conditions up to the policy maximum for all levels except the Diamond or the Diamond Plus plans. However, coverage related to cardiac conditions or stroke is limited to $25,000. For Diamond and Diamond Plus, the coverage is up to $25,000 for ages between 70-79 and is up to $15,000 for ages 80 and above. However, coverage related to cardiac conditions or stroke is limited to $15,000. 

Does the plan cover mental/nervous disorders? 

Yes, it offers $5,000 per incident for all levels of coverage.

Can you extend the coverage? 

Yes. An extension notice will be sent to the Covered Person before the Policy Period ends and includes links to extend before the Termination Date. The Covered Person is subject to the following rules at extension: To extend, the Policy Period must be initially purchased for a minimum of 5 days.  

If available, an extension period can be purchased  

1. at the premium rate in force at the time of the extension; 

2. for a minimum of 5 days;  

3. for up to a maximum of 364 days, provided the Covered Person’s Policy Period does not exceed 364 days in total. There are no grace periods for extension. Once the policy has lapsed, reapplication is required. Please note, upon application for a new policy, the Pre-Existing Condition exclusion, deductible and co-insurance start over 

Patriot America Lite 

Who can buy Patriot America Lite plan? 

The plan is designed for non-US citizens between the ages of 14 days (about 2 weeks) to 99 years coming to the US for a brief stay. 

Does it cover acute onset of pre-existing conditions? 

The plan includes coverage for acute onset of non-chronic pre-existing conditions for non-US citizens of age 69 and under, up to the period of coverage limit or $1,000,000 (whichever is lower) and $25,000 maximum limit for emergency medical evacuation. 

Does the plan offer any dental and eye-related benefits? 

Yes, Patriot America Lite covers dental treatment, traumatic dental injury, and emergency eye examination. Refer to the brochure to know the coverage in detail. 

What are the additional benefits you can add to this plan? 

The plan offers Adventure Sports Rider for those up to the age of 65, enhanced Accidental Death and Dismemberment Rider for individual plans, Chaperone/Faculty Leader Replacement Rider for groups, and Mobile Device Protection for individual plans.
