- Who: Safe Travels Elite plan is available to Non-US citizens who reside outside the USA and are traveling outside their home country to solely visit the US, or to a combination of the US and other countries worldwide. Available to individuals up to the age of 89 years. The plan is not available to US Citizens, US Residents, or Green Card Holders in the US.
- What: Safe Travels Elite provides in-patient and out-patient coverage for medical illnesses and accidents with sub-limits. The plan also provides benefits for acute on-set of pre-existing conditions, Well doctor visit, emergency medical evacuation, repatriation of remains, accidental death and dismemberment, and more.
- Where: Provides coverage in the United States and countries worldwide. The insured must arrive in the US before traveling to other countries.
Why is Safe Travels Elite Plan Good for Visitors
Safe Travels Elite is a fixed benefit plan that provides accident and sickness medical coverage for persons up to 89 years of age traveling to the USA and North America from other countries. The policy offers coverage for eligible medical expenses including hospitalization, surgery, physician visits,
and prescriptions. The plan also offers one acute onset of preexisting condition coverage and covers one Well Visit per policy. The plan can be bought for a minimum period of 5 days up to a maximum period of 364 days and is
extendable for up to 24 months.

Plan Benefits: The policy offers coverage for in-patient (hospitalization) and out-patient medical expenses per illness and injury with various sub-limits. It includes prescription drugs, dental treatment, mental or nervous disorders, etc. The plan includes coverage for emergency reunion, political/natural disaster evacuation, Return of Minor Child(ren), and more. With the Safe Travels Elite Plan, you can choose from an overall policy maximum ranging from $25,000 to $175,000 for the policy maximum. For ages 14 days to 69 years, the deductible option is $0. For ages 70 to 89 years you can opt for either a $100 or $200 deductible.
Pre-existing: Covers one (1) Acute Onset episode of a Pre-Existing condition. For ages up to and including 69 the limit is up to the policy Maximum purchased per Period of Coverage except for any coverage related to cardiac disease or conditions, which is limited to $25,000 up to and including age 69 and $15,000 for ages 70 and above. Upon attaining ages 70-79 Acute Onset benefits will be reduced to a maximum of $35,000, upon attaining age 80 Acute Onset benefits will be reduced to a maximum of $15,000 with a $25,000 Maximum Lifetime Limit for Emergency Medical Evacuation.

The plan provides scheduled benefits accident and sickness medical coverage emergency medical evacuation and repatriation coverage COVID-19 EXPENSES are covered and treated as any other sickness. The plan offers coverage one (1) Wellness Visit within the first 21 days of the effective date if the plan has been bought for at least 30 days. Coverage can initially be purchased for a minimum of five (5) days up to a maximum of 364 days. If a minimum of 5 days is purchased, the coverage may be extended, at the rates in force at the time of extension for up to 24 months

Safe Travels Elite Cost
The pricing is dependent on the following factors: Premium is calculated on a daily rate based on the plan limit, age, and deductible you opt for. Hence higher the number of coverage days, the higher will be the premium.
Plan Limit: For ages 14 days to 69 years, the plan offers six plan limits of $25,000, $50,000, $75,000, $100,000, $175,000 per injury sickness and annual maximum of $50,000 and $100,000 for age 70-89.
Deductible: For ages 70 to 89 years you can choose from a $100 or $200 deductible. The deductible is set to $0 for anyone whose age is below 69 years.
Age: Available from ages of 14 days to 89 years. The Premium amount goes up with age.
Coverage Days: Premium is based on a daily rate. The more the number of coverage days, the higher will be the premium. Plan can be purchased for 5 days up to 12 months and can be renewed without a break in coverage up to a maximum total of 24 months.

This Policy provides coverage to non-US citizens who reside outside the USA and are traveling outside of Their Home Country to visit solely the United
States, or to visit a combination of the United States and other countries worldwide. The Insured must arrive in the USA before traveling to other
countries. This Policy is not available to green card holders in the USA. This Policy is not available to anyone age 90 or above. Coverage in countries
outside the USA and your Home Country is available for up to 180 days during your Policy Period.This Policy is not available to any individual who has been residing within the United States for more than 365 days prior to their Effective Date.
Pre-existing conditions are excluded by Safe Travels Elite Plan, however the plan can cover for one episode of an acute onset of pre-existing conditions
For ages up to and including 69 the limit is up to the Medical Policy Maximum purchased per Period of Coverage except for any coverage related to cardiac disease or conditions, which will be limited to $25,000 up to and including age 69 and $15,000 for ages 70 and above. Upon attaining ages 70-79 Acute Onset benefits will be reduced to a maximum of $35,000, upon attaining age 80 Acute Onset benefits will be reduced to a maximum of $15,000 with a $25,000 Maximum Lifetime Limit for Emergency Medical Evacuation.
Any repeat/reoccurrence within the same policy period will no longer be considered Acute Onset of a Pre-Existing Condition and will not be eligible for additional coverage. A Pre-Existing Condition which is a chronic or congenital condition or that gradually becomes worse over time and/or known, scheduled, required, or expected medical care, drugs or treatments existing or necessary prior to the Effective Date are not considered to be an Acute Onset. This benefit covers only ONE (1) Acute Onset episode of a Pre-Existing condition. Sudden and Acute Onset of a Pre- Existing Condition Coverage expires upon medical advice that the condition and Onset is no longer acute or you are discharged from a medical facility.
Acute Onset of a Pre-Existing Condition means a sudden and unexpected outbreak or recurrence of a Pre- Existing Condition which
1) occurs spontaneously and without advance warning either in the form of Physician recommendations or symptoms, is of short duration, is rapidly progressive, and requires urgent and immediate medical care; and
2) occurs a minimum of 48 hours after the Effective Date of the policy and
3) occurs prior to the age shown in the Schedule of Benefits/Limits with treatment being obtained within 24 hours of the sudden and unexpected outbreak or recurrence. A Pre-Existing Condition that is a Congenital condition or that gradually becomes worse over time will not be considered Acute Onset.
The Safe Travels Elite policy follows a Preferred Provider Network both within and outside the United States. Utilizing these providers may result in payments directly to the provider as well as referrals to licensed medical providers.

No, adventure sports are excluded from coverage. There is no option to add an adventure sports rider to this plan.
The application will need the name, date of birth, visitor’s home country address, passport country, and a valid email address to send the insurance documents. If you do have the passport number, you can enter it. A valid credit card will be required to complete the purchase.
Once the application is submitted, an email will be sent to the email address provided on the application which will include links to download the ID card, Visa Letter, and Certificate wording.
In the email, you can click on the ID Card tab next to your name, download, and print your Id card.
Coverage may be renewed if it is initially purchased for a minimum of 5 days. If available, additional periods are charged at the premium rate in force at the time of renewal. The total Policy Period cannot exceed 24 months. Five days premium is the minimum acceptable renewal premium and twelve months premium is the maximum. There are no grace periods for renewals. Once the policy has lapsed, you would need to reapply. Please note: once you reapply for a new policy, the Pre-Existing Condition exclusion, deductible and co-insurance start over.
Cancellation and refund will only be considered if written request is received by Us prior to the Effective Date of Coverage as listed on the certificate. If written request is received after the Effective Date of coverage, the following conditions apply if the Insured Person wishes to cancel the insurance and a written partial refund request has been made:
(a) If any claims have been filed with the Company, the Premium is fully earned and is non-refundable.
(b) If no claims have been filed with the Company, then a cancellation fee of US $ 25 will be charged; and
(c) If after a refund is made, if it is determined that a claim was presented to the company on an Insured Person’s behalf, the Insured Person will be fully responsible for that claim in its entirety.
It is a good practice to keep a copy of the entire Claims documents with you before you submit the Claims for processing
