Atlas MedEvac is designed for Study abroad student seeking supplemental Emergency Medical Evacuation coverage to meet school or visa requirements and for international visitors seeking Emergency Medical Evacuation and Repatriation of Remains coverage for a trip outside the home country and the US.

  • Where: Atas MedEvac provides coverage outside the home country and in the US. Your home country is the country where you principally reside and receive regular mail. U.S. citizens are not eligible to have the U.S. as a destination, regardless of home country.

Atlas MedEvac Insurance Cost 

The pricing is dependent on the following factors:

Plan Limit: The plan offers up to $75,000 overall limit. This is a standalone policy maximum that the policyholder can choose when buying this plan. 

Deductible Amount: It offers a $0 deductible. As you have no other deductible options, you must pay a premium with a $0 deductible. 

Age: Members must be fourteen (14) days old and no more than 50 years old. The premium increases with age; the higher the age, the higher the premium. 

Coverage Days: The plan offers coverage for  up to 365 days (about 12 months). The more days you choose as coverage, the more the premium will be. 

Optional Coverage Benefits Riders: No optional benefits.

FAQ: Atlas MedEvac Insurance

Members who are non-US Citizens of at least fourteen (14) days of age and no more than the age of 50 years are eligible for coverage outside of their home country. 

The plan does not offer any pre-existing conditions coverage. 

There is no preferred organization (PPO) outside the US. You may visit any provider you choose. When seeking treatment within the US, please refer to your ID card to find your provider information. You can find your ID card in the Member Portal. Sign in to the portal, click “Policy Information” in the navigation menu, and then click the box labeled “Download Insurance ID Card.” As the plan does not provide coverage for medical, there is no network. If you face a covered, life-or-limb-threatening injury or illness in a remote location where the local treating facility cannot provide the medically necessary care, your Emergency Medical Evacuation benefit will pay up to $50,000 to transport you to the nearest hospital via air or ground ambulance. WorldTrips will work with On Call International, the emergency travel assistance service provider, to coordinate your travel arrangements. For assistance, call (800) 605-2282 (toll-free). 

The plan does not offer any adventure sports coverage. 

 

The application will need the following information of the visitor: name, date of birth, residence address and email address to send the insurance documents. If you have a passport number, you can enter it. A valid credit card will be required to complete the purchase. Immediately after submitting the application, an email will be sent to the email address provided on the application which will include links to download the ID card, Visa Letter, and Certificate wording. 

No. This policy cannot be renewed; however, you can reapply for the plan if you are still eligible.  

Premiums will be refunded in full if a cancellation request is received prior to the certificate effective date. However, premiums may be refunded after the certificate effective date subject to the following provisions: a) A $25 cancellation fee will apply for administrative costs incurred  and b) Only the prorated portion of the premium will be refunded; and c) You cannot have filed any claims to be eligible for a premium refund. 

All claims and related claim information, including proof of claim, should be submitted to the Company  online through the Client Portal at http://service.worldtrips.com/ as soon as possible
