Safe Travels Protect is a comprehensive trip cancellation insurance plan available only to US residents and citizens traveling to the US and abroad. The coverage includes trip cancellation, trip interruption, trip delay, baggage loss and delay, emergency medical, repatriation of remains, missed connection, and post-departure travel coverage. You can opt for coverage for trips up to 90 days and buy the plan up to 18 months in advance of departure.

Safe Travels Protect Benefits   

  • Plan Benefits: Coverage includes 100% trip cancellation of the trip cost up to $14,000, trip interruption up to 100% of the insured trip cost, trip delay up to 12 hours, emergency medical expenses up to $25,000 with a $100 deductible, and more. The plan offers optional coverage for Accidental Death and Dismemberment for 24 hours up to $10,000.
  • Pre-existing: The plan does not offer coverage to pre-existing conditions. 
  • Special Feature 1: Trip delay up to $300 for 12 hours. Missed connection up to $250 for 12 hours. 
  • Special Feature 2: Up to $500 baggage coverage. $100 per article, and 50% for special items.

Safe Travels Protect Benefits   

The pricing is dependent on the following factors like traveler’s age, trip length, and trip cost.. If you add any optional coverage the premium will increase.   

Plan Limit: Trip cancellation up to 100% of the trip cost insured up to $14,000. Trip interruption up to 100% of the insured cost. $250,000 for emergency evacuation and $350,000 for repatriation of remains. $25,000 for primary emergency accident and sickness medical coverage with a $100 deductible. $10,000 for Accidental Death and Dismemberment as optional coverage. 

Age: The plan is available until the age of 85 years. 

Coverage Days: The plan offers coverage for up to 90 days. 

Optional Coverage Benefit Riders: Benefit Riders: 24-hour AD&D (Accidental Death and Dismemberment) upgrade.
