Plan Benefits: The plan provides coverage for in-patient and out-patient medical services up to $1,000,000 with a $100 per person deductible per period of coverage. For individuals aged between 70-95, the maximum benefit is $200,000. Includes coverage for surgery, anesthesia, doctor visits, diagnostic X-ray and laboratory, ambulance services, prescription drugs, dental care, medical evacuation, Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D), Hazardous Activities, Lost Baggage & Personal Effects, Post departure Trip Interruption, Repatriation of Remains and more.  

Pre-existing: If you are enrolled in a primary insurance, pre-existing conditions are covered like any other illnesses under this plan. It covers both medical services and medical evacuation. 

PPO Hospital Network: Blue Cross Blue Shield Association provides a hand-selected network of doctors and hospitals in 190 countries that agree to bill Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions directly. Members have the freedom to choose any international doctor or facility for service 

Special Feature 1: Covers emergency medical evacuation up to $500,000.

Multi trip platinum is an annual plan providing coverage for unlimited trips and for the first 70 days per trip for US residents, who travel outside the US.   

The plan highlights: 

  • $1,000,000 maximum benefit per policy for ages up to 70 years. (For individuals aged 70-95, the Maximum benefit is $200,000). A primary health plan is needed to apply (an individual health benefit plan or a governmental health plan designed to be the first payer of claims (such as Medicare) 
  • Emergency medical transportation benefit is up to $500,000 
  • Repatriation of mortal remains benefit is up to $25,000 
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment benefit is up to $25,000 
  • Up to Maximum benefit of $500 per Trip Period for coverage for Baggage and Personal Effects Coverage   ( $100 maximum benefit per bag or Personal Effect) 
  • Covers hazardous sports activity with a maximum benefit up to $25,000 for downhill skiing and scuba diving.

How to Claim Single Trip Gold Insurance?

  • Written notice of any event which may lead to claim under the Certificate must be submitted within 60 days. 
  • Fill claim forms with written proof of loss, which must be furnished within 90 days. 
  • Additional documentation needed for specific coverages like baggage claims and post departure trip interruption claims. 
  • Benefits payable under the Certificate will be paid immediately upon receipt of satisfactory written proof of loss.

Eligible family members (if applicable) can be your spouse, civil union partner, or domestic partner age 95 and younger, and/or your eligible child(ren) or other eligible dependent(s). Eligible family members must also be resident(s) of the United States and traveling outside the United States and scheduled to spend at least 24 hours away from his/her home. 

Yes, if you have primary insurance, pre-existing conditions can be covered like any other condition. Iincludes medical services and medical Evacuation.

Yes it covers reasonable charges limited to the Trip Period maximum or $25,000, whichever is less for claims resulting from downhill (alpine) skiing and scuba diving at a depth of 20 meters or less (certification by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) or the National Association of Underwater Insurers (NAUI) required or diving under the supervision of a certified instructor). 

The application will need the name, date of birth, US address as Home Country address, and email address to send the insurance documents Applicants will also need to provide the details of the Primary Plan they are enrolled in 

Once the application is submitted, an email will be sent to the email address provided on the application which will include links to download the ID card and plan certificate. 

If the Covered Person has not cancelled their coverage, then coverage for a trip can extend past the Trip Coverage End Date if the Insured Person’s return is delayed by unforeseeable circumstances beyond their control.  

In this event, coverage will be extended, if:   

  1. The Covered Person’s entire original itinerary was covered under this Certificate;  
  2. The Covered Person requests an extension of coverage through the Insurer’s Administrator.

The extension of coverage will end on the earlier of:   

  1. The date the Covered Person reaches their Home Country.. 
  2. 7 days after the original coverage period requested and paid for by the Eligible Participant. There is no charge for the Extension of Coverage.

Any date prior to the Effective date of Coverage, applicant may request a full refund of premium. You can cancel your coverage and request a refund by: 

  • Call on 855 481 6647 

No refunds of premium shall be paid:  

  • after Your coverage Effective Date: or 
  • If You havedepartedon your Trip: or   
  • If any claims have been filed. 

In these circumstances, the premium charged is fully earned and is non-refundable.
