Safe Travel Flex plan is a customizable trip cancellation plan that allows travelers to design a plan as per their traveling needs. The plan covers trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage with optional coverage including, trip delay, emergency medical expenses for accidents and sickness, medical evacuation and repatriation, baggage and personal effects, baggage delay, and Trip Cancellation for Any Reason (CFAR).
The plan is designed for US citizens and residents up to age 69 for a 30-day trip. Individuals planning to take a trip inside the US can buy this plan and customize it according to their unique requirements. Safe Travels Flex benefits
- Plan Benefits: 100% of trip cost up to $25,000 for trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage, respectively. Insured individuals can purchase add-ons, including trip delay, baggage delay, Trip Cancellation for Any Reason, etc.
- Pre-existing condition: The pre-existing condition exclusion is waived if the plan is purchased within 21 days (about 3 weeks) of the date the initial deposit for the trip is received. The insured member must be medically fit at the time your plan cost is paid.
- PPO Network: Safe Travels Flex is a plan from US Fire Insurance, a Crum & Forster Company. You can go to any provider in the area.
- Special Feature 1: $10,000, $20,000, and $50,000 optional coverage for emergency accident and sickness medical expenses. This benefit is unavailable in PA, NY, WA, MO & MT.
- Special Feature 2: Optional Dental expense coverage up to $500. This benefit is not available in PA, NY, WA, MO & MT.
- Special Feature 3: Optional coverage includes Trip Cancellation for Any Reason, medical evacuation and repatriation, baggage, and personal effects, baggage delay, and trip delay. Trip Cancellation for Any Reason benefit (not available in NY) must be purchased within 21 days of the initial deposit. Other optional coverages are unavailable in PA, NY, WA, MO & MT.
Safe Travels Flex Cost
The cost of Safe Travels Flex plan depends on traveler’s age, trip duration, and the non-refundable trip cost insured. The higher the traveler’s age, and non-refundable trip cost , the higher will be the premium. When you choose optional coverage, you pay an extra premium.
Plan Limit: 100% of trip cost up to $25,000 for trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage, respectively.
Age: Individual up to 69 years of age can buy this plan.
Coverage Days: Trip length up to 30 days (about 4 and a half weeks).
Optional coverage benefits: Trip Cancellation for Any Reason, medical evacuation and repatriation, emergency accidents and sickness medical expense, dental expense, baggage and personal effects, baggage delay, and trip delay. Trip Cancellation for Any Reason is not available in NY. Other add-on benefits are unavailable in PA, NY, WA, MO & MT.

How to Claim Safe Travels Flex?
To file a claim, you need to follow the steps:
- Find the plan name from the certificate emailed to you at the time of purchase.
- Gather necessary documents. Documentation will depend on the type of claim you are filing. For instance, trip cancellation or trip interruption claim documents include the original trip itinerary and invoice, proof of trip payment, proof of cancellation date, the amount refunded, etc.
- Complete the claim form with a concise summary of the incident.
- Submit the claim form with relevant information.
