  • Information on J2 Dependent Insurance

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a J1-scholar in Georgia state university. I want to take insurance for my wife only, came from India on J2-dependent visa. Could you give the information for J2-dependant insurance.

    Thank you very much.

    Have a good day.

    Thank you for your email.

You can simply enter the age (question 1), change the medical maximum to $50,000 (question 4) and the coverage dates (question 5) and click the get quote button at http://www.visitorguard.com/exchange-visa-insurance/

You can consider the plans on the resulting quote page and purchase coverage. Make sure you enter the age of only your wife in question 1 (no need to enter your age because you don’t need coverage).

      Hi

Thanks for your response. As you said, I entered my age as 0 (zero) in question 1. But it is not allowing to further without entering my age. Can I take maximum insurance up to $200,000 - $300,000 in question 4.

      Have a good day!

        Hi

Simply enter the age of your wife for question 1 (again it is your wife's age; do not enter your age anywhere on the form because you don't need coverage; no need to enter your age as 0), change the medical maximum to $50,000 (question 4) and the coverage dates (question 5) and click the get quote button at http://www.visitorguard.com/exchange-visa-insurance/

Thanks for your response. Is she not eligible for medical maximum to $200,000 - $300, 000?

            Hi

The J visa requirement calls for a MINIMUM of $50,000 coverage limit; so you can get either the $50,000 limit or anything higher.

Once again you can change the values for question 1, 4, and 5 and enter the get quote button at http://www.visitorguard.com/exchange-visa-insurance/

            Thanks!

              Hi

              Thanks for your valuable information.

I have one question: Does maternity service cover in this plan? In exclusions point 7 says that Pregnancy, childbirth, birth control, artificial insemination, treatment for infertility or impotency, sterilization or reversal thereof, or abortion are not covered. Is it means that general pregnancy service is covered in this plan?

              Have a good day!!

                Greetings,

Thank you for your email. Not all plans cover pregnancy.

Maternity coverage is available if conception occurs after the effective date of the policy under some plans. You can review the brochure for coverage at http://www.visitorguard.com/docs/student-secure-plan/

The plan is available if your wife is a Full time student / J1 scholar or if is she a dependent, you need to apply for coverage too.

You can get quotes, review details as well as apply for the policy at https://www.visitorguard.com/apply/student-secure-plan/

                  Hi

Thanks for your response and valuable suggestions. But I would like to take insurance only for my spouse J2-dependent visa holder, in the following link

                  http://www.visitorguard.com/exchange-visa-insurance/

In previous mails, you said that in question 1, enter my spouse age and in question 4 maximum medical benefit ($200,000 - $300,000). As per the details I get the brochure, please find the Patriot Exchange plan.

My question: Is she eligible for maternity coverage in selected plan?
For reference please have a glance at page 5 for selected plan.

                  Thank you in advance.

                    Greetings,

Thank you for your email. The Patriot Exchange does not cover pregnancy.
